Please read below notes very carefuly - for some groups of phones are VERY IMPORTANT!
NOTES:
- Alcatel 501, 701, 715, 535, 735: basic APDS version can work only with data on SIM. APDS PRO fully supports phone book in phone memory including support of calling groups (partial phone books). SMS in phone's memory are NOT supported and we don't say exactly if it will be supported in any newer version.
WARNING, VERY IMPORTANT!!! Alcatel 501 and 701 models have very annoying bug: when charged to 60 % and less and saving contacts to phone memory may be some phone numbers assigned to any other contact! We tested it in both APDS PRO and IntelliSync (original Alcatel program for synchronising with Outlook). The only one advice is to charge your phone before any work with contacts from phone memory (using LiIon and LiPol accumulators there is no problem). This problem is however complicated by necessity of save the whole phone book even if you made very small change.
- Bosch 9xx: work without any problems (phone books, SMS).
- Ericsson: all models starting from GA628, it means 6xx, 7xx, 8xx, A1018, T10, T18, A2618, A2628, T20, T28, T29, T39, R310, R320, R380, R520, T65, T68 including infrared modules DI-27 a DI-28: work without any problems (phone books, SMS) using both cable and infrared connections (models with infrared port).
APDS PRO adds full support of multipart phone book of R520, T39, T68 and T65. Basic version can read only phone numbers from phone's memory and download can take very long time. Downloading of the whole phone book is made while PBooks reports downloading item 1 (it can take more than 2 minutes). Other items are then loaded very quickly.
- Motorola Timeport P7389/L7089/250/260/280: work without any problems (via infrared port) but also you can use serial cable too. In this case you have to install Motorola SmartCellect.
- Motorola V.3688, V.3690, V.50: you have to use only serial cable. Features and requirements are the same as with Timeports.
- Motorola T720(i), T722i, V300: work fine. All SMS are reported as saved on SIM but are correctly resolved by their positions.
If you are using an USB cable you have to install appropriate driver of course. It create a virtual serial port mainly with the highest number. This port you have to set in PhoneServ.
- Nokia 51xx, 61xx and 3210: work without any problems (phone books, SMS). Infrared connection for 61xx is NOT supported!
- Nokia 3310, 3330, 5510: work without any problems (phone books, SMS). Support of international (accented) characters work also very well. Some older firmware versions of 3310 cannot read name from phone book. We recommend to have as higher firmware version as possible. You can get 3410 features too (unofficial service centers).
- Nokia 7110 and 6210: work without any problems wia both FBUS and DLR-3 cables (or its clones). Infrared connection is NOT supported!
APDS PRO adds full support of multipart phone book (basic version only main phone number) and work with SMS folders from phone's memory (basic version only SIM).
- Nokia 6310, 6310i, 6100, 6610, 6220, 7210 and 7250(i): work without any problems wia DLR-3/DKU-5 cables (or its clones). Warning: a lot of 6310(i) don't support FBUS/MBUS cables! Infrared connection in APDS is NOT supported!
APDS PRO adds full support of multipart phone book (basic version only main phone number) and work with SMS folders from phone's memory (basic version only SIM).
- Panasonic GD 30, 50, 67, 70, 75, 76, 87, 90, 92, 93, 95, 96: work without any problems (phone books, SMS) - tested on GD 30, 50, 67, 70, 75, 76, 90, 95.
If the message "Connecting to port COMx..." takes more than several seconds try to disconnect and then connect again your cable to the phone.
- Philips: we tested Azalis 288 which worked without any problems. Ozeo, Xenium and new Fisio models will probably work fine too.
- Samsung E700: works fine. But be careful to use basic APDS version if you use more than one phone number per contact! APDS displays only main phone number and if you change such contact and wire back to phone other phone numbers belonging to this contact will be erased! So use APDS for backup only or use APDS PRO which has full phone book support including national characters.
- Samsung S300: has no multipart phone book but on the other hand it responses with error to the standard command used for saving phone book entry. Reading phone books and working with SMS is without problems.
- Siemens x10 (S10, Active, E10, C10 and similar models): work without any problems (phone books, SMS).
- Siemens C25: this model is such small exception in all Siemens models. It's communication is rather "unstable" and so any operation is not completed just for first time (downloading contacts, sending SMS and so on).
- Siemens S25 and x35 (S35, C35 a M35): work without any problems (phone books, SMS) using both cable and infrared connections (S models).
- Siemens x45 (C45, SL45, S45, ME45): C45 model we didn't test but probably it works without any problems (its features are the same as x35). Higher models (S, SL, ME) are without problems and APDS PRO completely supports their multipart phone book (address book). We also prepare support of SMS from archive.
These models work very well using both cable and infrared connections.
- Siemens x50 (M50, MT50): their features are very similar to S45/ME45 but they have no address book. They work without problems.
- Siemens x55 (C55, S55, M55, SL55): they are without problems. APDS PRO completely supports multipart phone book (address book). We also prepare support of SMS from archive.
S55 works very well using cable, infrared or Bluetooth connections.
- Sony CMDX-2000: work without any problems (phone books, SMS).
- Sony CMD-Z5, CMD-CD5: phone books work without any problems but multipart phone books are not supported (only first number in contact). SMSs can be sent only to 144 characters.
- Sony CMD-J5, CMD-J6, CMD-J7, CMD-J70, CMD-Z7: phone books work without any problems but multipart phone books are not supported (only first number in contact). Some older J5 firmware versions return only first character of contact loaded from phone's memory. Saving whole name works OK. We prepare full support of multipart phone books (APDS PRO). SMSs work quite fine but in the case of a long saved sent SMS it's not readed in full length via cable. When deleting SMSs via cable you can see any strange "SMSs" in phone's memory (cannot delete, cannot read). It disappear after switch off your phone. These models cannot work with SMSs temporarily saved in phone's memory.
We recommend to have as higher firmware version as possible but we are not sure if it solves above mentioned problems.
If the message "Connecting to port COMx..." takes more than several seconds try to disconnect and then connect again your cable to the phone.
- SonyEricsson T68i, T300, T310, T610, T630, Z600: work without any problems (same as all Ericssons).
APDS PRO adds full support of multipart phone book of T68i, T610, T630 and Z600. Basic version can read only phone numbers from phone's memory and download can take very long time. Downloading of the whole phone book is made while PBooks reports downloading item 1 (it can take more than 2 minutes). Other items are then loaded very quickly.
Here you can read breaf APDS description. Whole help file (included in APDS installation) is HERE.

Choosing SMS... from PhoneServ menu or directly starting SMSs.exe you will run a program for working with short messages. SMSs are loaded from phone immediately (you can disable this feature in settings of SMSs).
Message(s) you can delete by SMS - Delete and send by SMS
- Send new. Deleted message is removed from phone immediately but saved in Trash folder.
If you ran PBooks (contacts) for at least one times and downloaded phone books you can select recipient(s) of your message(s) by name clicking to Add from phone book.... Number(s) not found in your phone book enter to Number not from phone book and add to list of message recipients (Recipients) by button Add. Recipient(s) you can also remove from this list. Select them and click to Remove.
Now you can send message by button Send. Wait for confirmation of successfully sent message or an error message. In the case of any problems in the GSM network can sending take tenths of seconds! Sent message is saved to Sent folder. Unsent messages you can find (and resend) in Unsent folder.
Uninstall:
You can use Control panel and icon Add or remove programs or you can remove APDS "by hand" because it's very simple (see next article).
Uninstall "by hand": delete all .exe and .dll files from APDS directory and run Regedit.exe
where remove APDS from HKEY_CURRENT_USER//Software.
